📚 Comprehensive Curriculum: Our Kettlebell Instructor Training covers everything from proper kettlebell technique and safety protocols to designing effective workouts and correcting common form mistakes. You'll graduate with a deep understanding of kettlebell mechanics and the ability to create engaging, results-oriented classes.
Week 1 (2/5): Breathing, Positioning, and Mobility
Week 2 (2/12): Deadlifts & Hinging
Week 3 (2/19): Swings
Week 4 (2/26): Single Arm Swing & Cleans
Week 5 (3/5): Presses & Snatches
Week 6 (3/12): Squats & Lunges
Week 7 (3/19): Turkish Get Ups
Week 8 (3/26): Accessory Movements & Programing
Evaluation: At the end of the program, each person will sign up for a 1-on-1 training session with their instructor. During this time their form will be evaluated. This test must be passed before the certification will be awarded. The cost of this session is included in the course.
You do not need to be interested in teaching professionally in order to take this course. Many people take teacher training courses in order to guide their own home workouts.
Mentoring Program: All trainees who wish to teach at Valkyrie Fitness will go through a complimentary mentoring program after completing the teacher training. It consists of at least four full length community classes that you will teach for personalized feedback. Ideally, these sessions will be completed within three months of your teacher training. They will be scheduled based on your availability.
The mentorship program is also available for those who do not wish to teach at Valkyrie, but for an additional fee.
This course does not cover basic anatomy and physiology in depth. If you don't have any prior formal education or professional certifications that have covered this subject (personal training certification, yoga instructor training, physical education or college level anatomy/physiology course), then you may be want to take a brief online anatomy course before attending this training. Each live session will be recorded in case you need to miss a session due to unforeseen circumstances. Make up sessions are not available.

There will be about 2 hours of homework each week:
Practice doing the previous week’s movements. We recommend filing yourself for external feedback!
Do the reading for the next week’s lesson.

Scholarship Application
Scholarships are available to those who are interested in teaching at Valkyrie Fitness. You must be able commit to teaching at least one regularly scheduled class per week for a minimum of 6 months after the mentorship is complete, and be willing to teach your first practice class within 3 month of course completion. To qualify, you must meet either of the following qualifications:
Have been exercising with kettlebells for at least 6 months
Have completed a personal training certification
Have experience teaching other fitness modalities
